Everything Announced During Sony PlayStation 5 Event

We’re just months away from the official launch of the PlayStation 5 and today Sony gave us a glimpse at what we could look forward to playing on their new home console as well as revealing the design of the console itself. Let’s talk about some of the heavy hitters and surprise release announcements. Here’s Everything announced during Sony’s PlayStation 5 event!

Spider-Man: Miles Morales

We’re heading into the Spider-verse again! This time as Miles Morales! What is being called an enhanced, substantial expansion, Spider-Man: Miles Morales will allow us to play as Miles Morales in Marvel’s Spider-Man by Insomniac Games. Spider-Man: Miles Morales is set to debut this holiday season.

Gran Turismo 7

Gran Turismo 7 is back! The amazing car racing simulation game showed off an impressive trailer which I’m sure caught Forza’s attention. Gran Turismo looks to claim the crown as it sets out to bring the racing sim back to its roots.

Stray

Stray’s trailer took me by surprise. In what seemed like a game about a robot in a future post-apocalyptic setting. Stray is actually a game about a cat who’s lost and alone in a forgotten cybercity. Stray is slated for 2021.

Returnal

Live. Die. Repeat. In a game where the protagonist seems to be stuck in a time loop, the character crash lands on a planet and is attacked by alien creatures.  She is attacked and ultimately killed, only to wake up and have to repeat it all over again. Returnal is a new IP from Housemarque

Goodbye Volcano High

A beautifully animated slice of life, Goodbye Volcano High looks like a game that will touch all of your feels. If you enjoy games like Life is Strange or Captain Spirit then this game is for you.

Ghostwire Tokyo

A year after its initial tailte, we finally got a gameplay trailer for Ghostwire Tokyo. A first-person adventure action / horror game coming in 2021.

Demon Souls

The team behind the remake for Shadow of the Colossus is also the team that will be bringing a built from the ground up Demon Souls remake to the PS5.

Resident Evil VIII

We’ve been expecting a continuation of the amazing Resident Evil franchise. Capcom gave us a chilling glimpse at Village, Resident Evil VIII. Far from the aesthetic of their recent Resident Evil II & III remake, VIII looks darker, grittier, and ready for next-gen.

Pragmata

A brand new IP lunar adventure from Capcom. Pragmata gave us chills similar to those that Death Stranding gave us when Kojima Studios revealed their first IP. Unfortunately, Pragmanta isn’t set to release until 2021.

Horizon Forbidden West

Continuing Aloy’s story, Horizon Forbidden West is the sequel to the hit role-playing game from Guerilla games. Visually one of the most impressive trailers on hand, the sequel to Zero Dawn is shaping up to be one of Sony’s best exclusive for PlayStation 5.
