This week we bring you another batch of must play games while practicing social distancing!

Final Fantasy VII Remake (PS4)

Possibly one of the most anticipated games of the year and possibly the most anticipated remake of ALL time. After 23 years, the remake to Final Fantasy VII has arrived! Originally released in 1997, Final Fantasy VII is often considered one of the greatest RPG’s of all time and this remake has been rebuilt from the ground up to take advantage of modern consoles. Experience this masterpiece again with completely overhauled graphics, an updated battle system, and an expanded storyline.

Call of Duty: Warzone (PC, Xbox, PS4)

The latest installment of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been one of the best Call of Duty games in recent years. In the recent update, Call of Duty introduced Warzone. A FREE standalone battle royale mode. Now I know what you’re thinking, “Not another Battle Royale…” But Call of Duty’s entrance into the house that PUBG built with Fortnite, is a welcome addition and unique enough to stand on its own. Now with the Season 3 update, there’s no better time to drop in! The best part aside from this being FREE is that it is also cross-platform on PC, Xbox, and PS4. So no matter what your friends play on you can still squad up together!

Ori and the Will of the Wisps (Xbox)

Ori and the Blind Forest was one of the best games of 2015. It’s also one of the best platform / Metroidvania games ever to be released. It told a heartwarming story through breathtaking visuals and an emotionally charged score. Ori and the Will of the Wisps picks up almost immediately after the Blind Forest and is just as stunning. With changes to how upgrades function, as well as a bigger emphasis on combat, Ori and the Will of the Wisps doesn’t stray far from the formula that made the first game wonderful. You’d be doing yourself a disservice not checking out this highly acclaimed masterpiece.

Dauntless (PC, Xbox, PS4, Nintendo Switch)

Dauntless has to be one of the most underrated games of 2019. With Capcom’s Monster Hunter taking the spotlight in the monster-hunting genre, Dauntless has been somewhat overlooked. Dauntless, however, takes many of the genre issues and simplifies them to give you a fast-paced, fun experience that can be played with a group of 4 friends no matter the console. That’s right, Dauntless is cross-platform and can be played with friends on PC, Xbox, PS4, and Nintendo Switch! Did we also mention that it’s FREE!?

Phantasy Star Online 2 (Xbox)

The first PSO was the first MMORPG to be released on a console. It proved that console MMO’s could be a reality and not just an experience for PC players. After years of fans pleading to SEGA to bring PSO2 to the western audience, Microsoft has stepped in to help make that dream a reality. The Free-2-Play Action-MMORPG is now available on Xbox One and coming soon to PC.
